![]() ![]() ![]() It would maybe have to be hosted on private servers. IF someone would pick up the torch, and make new video content. I believe its important to share knowledge, to do what we can to inform the public, but right now, i'm thinking "why bother".Īll my best, to the entire Hak5 crew, past and present, and thanks for being there, for everythng you did, and still do. I just shut down shop, because it was giving me problems, so as a "hacker", these are not good times. I ran my own little research shop, and my own small infrastructure, focusing on Kali, lockpicking, alarmsystems and CCTV. Researching "hacking", and being public about it, are hard times. Anyone willing to step up to the plate ?īut, lets face it. Maybe, it could be time for someone else to carry the torch, make new content, and ask H5 to just distribute it, if they want. So, i think it's fair they take some time off, they deserve it more than anyone. Lets remember that Darren, Snubs and the rest, did all this, because their hearts burned for it, they believed in it. A good crew, can produce 45 minuttes of content in 7 working days. I have to say, i also have noticed the decline in new content, and feel a little sad, i really miss the show.īut, on that note, i actually worry more about the crew, if they are okay, doing good and hopefully are busy with day to day life and work □īut, producing digital content / media content IS a lot of work. And not a response like "we're coming back soon" or "we're working on new products, expect us coming back". I would really love to hear a response from Darren. I think that when the Hak5 shows come back, interest and good discussions will also come back (to the forum). Most of the posts are just " doesn't work, help me" without even a real description of the problem. The only one who helped a bit was Bob123 on the Respashes payload. I try to make payloads where everyone can help improve, give new ideas and work on it to make it better, but I have a feeling like nobody is interested and I find that very sad. I mean, those are not made from hak5, but why don't they just take them out? Better a smaller repository where every payload works than a bigger where only some work. I think it's also a shame that they have payloads in their github repository who doesn't work. Why did they even stop making the Hak5 shows? It's too sad to be true. I guess they are making enough money from shifting kit to not have to worry about YouTube. If there was a button to close my forum account I probably would have pressed it. I only return to the forums because occasionaly a useful "nugget" of information comes up, but more and more it is "I want hack mentor", "How do I hack", "Have I been hacked", "why does not work" posts. Maybe people are reading about the kit, buying it and then subscribing. I stopped subscribing on YouTube a while back, although looking at it, subscriber numbers appear to still be going up. There was a promise a while back that there would be new output and a year or so ago a new format was tested but nothing came of it. Does Shannon even use the Hak5 studio any more? (Actually even Darren doesn't when he advertises another product). ![]() Then Tekthing went and Threatwire seems to be an independant production supported by Patreon donations. Everything relating to YouTube output seemed to pretty much grind to a halt after the move to Oakland. I know this has been brought up before but is Hak5 dead? ![]()
